Beef Week 2021

Jess Price |

Hey Wildhearts,

Seeing as we are going to Beef Week Rockhampton in a few weeks, we thought we would tell you all a little bit about this great event in this week's blog!

Beef Week is, as the name says, a week-long event which actually started back in the 80's. It is held every three years in Rockhampton and see's on average 100,000 visitors from locals, interstate and international guests.

This event is run by Beef Australia, and is partnered with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the MLA (Meat and Livestock Australia), the Queensland Government and Rockhampton Council.

But what is the point of Beef Week? Well from Beef Australia themselves, their focus is to be a world class organisation that promotes and advance a sustainable beef industry.

Beef Week on average gathers together 4,000 odd cattle, over 30 breeds from all around Australia. This is not only for Cattle Judging Competitions but they also have Sales!

These events always have a HUGE program schedule, with plenty to do for everyone, for every age.

There are local property tours, educational seminars, debates, working dog demonstrations, competitions, concerts, award dinners, school programs, live demo’s, fashion shows, gala balls and even a demonstration kitchen. And that's just to name a few.

In addition, there are a STACK of trade exhibitions and stalls that attend tri-yearly, and that's where we come into it!

Being a brand whose main focus is cowhide, a bi-product of the beef industry, we will be packing our trailer, products and team, and heading off to Rocky for the week!

We are going to have a full shop in the trade fair all week, and are even going to have some sneaky Blazin' Blue items that aren't on the website, up for grabs!

Beef Week is absolutely a fantastic and educational event that we think everyone who is interested in Australian agriculture should experience at least once! (That's if you like beef that is. 10/10 don't recommend this event for a vegan though!)

So if you’re interested, grab your tickets online and be sure to come introduce yourself, meet our team and check out our pop up shop!

Let us know if you're already planning to come to Beef Week 2021, and tell us what products you absolutely want to see us bring along!

Signing off for now,

Jess Price ✨
