Living rooms: Let the rug front legs sit on the hide to anchor the setting.

Dining: We generally recommend flat patchwork/leather mats for chair glide; if using hair-on, size up so chairs remain on the hide when pulled out.

• Odours: Air the hide; brief outdoor airing in shade works wonders.
  
• Shedding: A little is normal early on and settles with gentle brushing.
  
• Do not: Machine wash, steam clean or soak. For stubborn stains, consult a leather specialist.
